What do the stars have in store for you this month?

In a reversal of fortune, a colleague, boss or workmate now starts messing you about and you might have to take drastic action to nip a problem in the bud. Niggling health issues may also concern you at this time, especially if you’re under any kind of stress. A half decent holiday (even if you’ve just had one!) could do you the world of good, also older members of the sign (50+) might want to consider changing certain aspects of their diet and commit to some new exercise regimes.

The 10^th and 11^th auger well for reunions and short holidays and the 24^th 25^th weekend could bring a boost of romantic activity: single people come into first contact with someone who catches their eye and fires up their imagination, while those in stable unions should experience a welcome boost of sexual activity.  Also, roughly around the same period, you will be in a strong position to do someone a great favour at little or no cost to yourself, and this will bring rich dividends in the weeks ahead. You are not a spiteful person but you’re very big on justice!

Work projects could be a bit soggy and boggy, and not for the first time this year, you’ll be looking for fresh inspiration. Finances reasonably okay on condition you exercise more self discipline. Expect quite a big bill mid-month! Quite a flat month socially, which just goes to show you need to get out more!  Where have all the old friends gone? You don’t really know, but it might be worth your while to take the initiative and find out.  Send a few emails, make a few phone calls, and be pleasantly surprised at the response you get!

Family reunions look probably between the 9^th and the 12^th and there may be some travel patterns associated with this trend.  Paradoxically there might also be some news concerning an old enemy reaching your ears at this time, and you’d be less than human if it didn’t give some small (or profound) feeling of satisfaction knowing that they’d got their come-uppance!  You are not a spiteful person but you’re very big on justice!

No matter what might be happening emotionally, it’s all the practical aspects of life which dominate your agenda at this time. Not a lot of physical energy with you, so monitor your time and efforts accordingly. The events of the 15^th 16^th and 17^th give you a boost of confidence as an anticipated problem fails to arise! More elderly members of the sign might have to monitor some health situations, but I don’t think there is any great threat here providing you are sensible and don’t take up swimming with sharks or other dangerous sports.

Geminis are the born communicators of the Zodiac, and therefore if there are going to be communications problems towards the latter part of the month, I suspect this will be in the form of practical problems with telephones and computers etc. rather than your oral skills.  Indeed, verbal communications, especially within family circles, are strong throughout August and we could quite easily see the resolution of a number of niggles and resentments, especially between parents and children.

Parents may have to take a strong position in connection with children and their discipline – or lack of it!  Not a lot of support from partners, so you’re on your own!  Curiously, however, there is a very strong romantic vibe reaching out to envelope younger members of the sign, and this could be an exciting and educational period for those in their teens. Perversely, it is this very same trend that could cause problems between parents and those youngsters in their early and mid-teens.  Mums and Dads need to be aware of the fact that it’s a bit late for the “birds and the bees” conversation, but some tactful guidance might be useful providing it is offered gently and not as a dictate.

Changing the subject completely and looking at the overview for business, jobs and careers… August looks like being a reasonably routine and stable month; a small reversal on the 5^th is made up for by a new opportunity on the 17^th and self-employed members of the sign should be able to offer a small prayer of thanks when they look at their accounts dating back to the beginning of the year. Progress had been made.

August can be a doldrummy month for most of the Zodiac, but Leo born folk are the exception to the rule!  Not only is there a lot happening on the social scene, the romantic vibe which raised its head in July becomes significantly stronger, and this could be a period of great joy and celebration, especially between the 19^th and 22^nd when someone who has traditionally said “no” to you now starts saying “yes” – or at least “maybe”!  There is more good news insofar as this vibrant energy crosses over into the working domain of your life, and there are new job opportunities on the horizon for those who are seeking them and unexpected promotions (albeit with more responsibility) for those who’d almost given up hope of getting further up the ladder of success.  Finances may well remain static at this time, but there is the birth of new hope and optimism when you view your mid and long term future prospects. Travel aspects could easily be associated with late summer holidays, but I sense there might also be some overseas business connection.

You will be presented with an unusual business opportunity.  Your initial reaction will be to say “no” but maybe you should think it through, because in the mid and long term, it could be of serious benefit.  Someone else’s problems dominate your emotions and thoughts during the middle of the month, and while you can be sympathetic, that’s about the strength of it.

Romantic aspects, while not exactly exciting, are at least stable, which should come as a relief to members of the sign who have gone through the mill earlier this summer.  There are still some unanswered questions with regard to the long term future of certain relationships, but you’ll feel on stronger ground when it comes to making a few key decisions.

Travel aspects are quite strong throughout the month, but we might just be talking about summer holidays here. Some members of the sign will find themselves returning to places which have had a seminal role to play in their past.

While all the indications are favourable, don’t rush in where angels fear to tread, and if someone is offering you something wonderful, make sure they can deliver before you say yes.  This is equally applicable in the boardroom as well as the bedroom! The 7^th or 8^th brings you some exciting news, and there will probably be an important reunion on the  19^th or thereabouts.

This is one of those periods wherein who you know can be just as important as what you can do, so it would be worth cultivating your social network, and making contact with new people who might not necessarily be helpful right now, but who could be very helpful a little way down the line.  There is a party or some other form of celebration around the 25^th 26^th which you should make a point of attending.  The food and wine will be nice, but who you might meet while you’re there will be even nicer.  On the downside, be on guard against some interference in your personal life by an older woman who thinks she knows what’s best for you, although she obviously doesn’t!

So, all the indications are solid for a boost to your love life and your social life and while you should make the most of any opportunity which comes your way, do remember my earlier words, and don’t rush in where those angels fear to tread.

There is no fool like an old fool, and you’d be foolish indeed to try and win the stars when you haven’t even got to the moon!  Apply this analogy to romantic and sexual situations, and you might see where I’m coming from!  Other people don’t help by giving you mixed signals, so issue a challenge and insist that they be honest with you.  If they’re not, cut your losses and walk away.  There is a hint of danger and potential disappointment in what might be called Spring/Autumn relationships, so if there is a significant age gap between potential partners, proceed with care and be realistic in your expectations.

August is a steady month where cash and careers are concerned, but it is certainly not a great time for being impulsive or taking risks.  Better to walk away and avoid confrontations than to stand and fight – and lose!  If you’re going to get involved in any kind of scrap, especially with a boss or colleague, choose your time, and in my opinion, that time is not right now.  Better to wait until the Autumn leaves are falling.  There is a time window around the 20^th when you might be tempted to lose your patience and speak your mind, and if possible, this is a temptation which should be avoided.

This should be a gentle and relatively uneventful month, which will suit most members of the sign. However it won’t go down well with those who are looking for a bit of fun and excitement, and who will act very impulsively during the third week if they’re not getting it.  No harm done here, even though certain people will be baffled and exasperated by your attitude.  In their eyes, you’ve got a lot more than what they’ve got, and in their opinion, you should be satisfied with that!  Depending on how you look at it, some of them may have a point!

Providing contentious subjects are carefully avoided, it should be a stable month where established relationships and partnerships are concerned, but younger members of the sign (say under 25) will feel frequent surges of frustration and impatience.  This might lead to some impulsive and immediately regrettable actions on the 13^th and the 14^th, and maybe again on the 26^th or 27^th … Actually, no great harm done here if it alerts other people to the fact that you’re thoroughly p….d off with them, and not only them, but life in general!

Quite a bright money month with a bit of extra cash coming in from more than just a single source. Work patterns are more or less routine, and there is the threat of a bit of boredom creeping in before month’s end… Paradoxically there might also be some concern for your long term job security, especially if the changes have been coming thick and fast this year, and you may well find yourself looking at what other jobs might be available out there.  It must always be remembered that we work to live, rather than living to work.

Romantic outlook is encouraging, especially between the 15^th and 24^th and providing you’re in a position to accept what is on offer.  It might not be exactly what you feel you need, but it’s better than a Marmite sandwich or a kick up the pantry door. 

Financial investments come under close scrutiny during August, and you’ll be looking for the best deals when it comes to considering major purchases.  It’s the age old dilemma… Do you hang on to something or let it go in favour of a new model?  Either way, you’ll be doing some market research! If I were you I’d go for the deal which leaves you with more money in your purse or pocket.

Ladies of the sign will be enjoying greater social activity and probably making a couple of new influential friends, especially if one of those friends turns out to be “a friend in need.”  Gentlemen should enjoy playing with new toys and finding the confidence to kick down a few obstacles which have stood in their way for much too long.  Finances are strong throughout the month, but expensive travel aspects between the 14^th and 24^th could well be a bit of a drain on reserves – although things should be back on an even keel by month’s end.

Romantic and sexual aspects vary depending on age.  Sadly, there is not a lot happening for middle aged Aquarians except some dim glimmers of hope and fantasy, but for younger members of the sign, especially younger females, a mood of “daring” combines with more than one unexpected opportunity, and the 13^th to the 23^rd is a propitious period for enjoying a significant boost of sexual self confidence – leading to all kinds of different situations which can hardly be discussed in a blog such as this!

Someone from your past could cause a problem in your present, but only if you give them the opportunity – so don’t!  Some anger and frustration between the 7^th and 14^th pushes you into making important decisions between the 15^th and 22^nd which will be subtly influential in changing the direction of your life. Small ways at first, leading to bigger things later on.  One of those “things” may come in the form of a letter or email received on or around the 27^th which should give you food for thought, and there are some interesting overseas links developing, even if we’re only talking about holidays.  Spain?  Who said anything about Spain?

Anything to do with banking and insurance should be relevant throughout the month (even if we’re only talking about new car or home insurance policies) and this may be a good time to consider long term investments.  Blue chips are more advisable than high gain risks. Also, you may be considering switching bank accounts at this time, especially if an existing bank has not been serving you as well as it should.

Finally, they say that in this modern day and age, romance is dead!  Honestly, it hasn’t really, it’s just that it seems to have gone to sleep at the moment. I suppose the key question is – will you be ready when it wakes up?
