Bongo’s Bingo is coming back to North Yorkshire in 2019 and 2020

Bingo Bongo

While everyone is bound to know someone who would once frequent the bingo halls of the UK, the online scene has been the main area of bingo play that’s inspired the classic game’s comeback. The popularity of online bingo in the modern day is huge, bringing the game back up to the level of popularity that it boasted in its golden years. Its simplicity and newfound accessibility have been tremendous contributors, with more than one-third of bingo players playing the game online every day for short periods.

The game itself has undergone a tremendous makeover following its collapse over the last few years. Hundreds of bingo clubs have closed over the last few decades, with only two remaining in York to this day. Bingo, in its traditional sense, has been recovering online, but to reach the modern audience, the game had to evolve and become more enticing to the younger adult demographic.

This is where Bongo’s Bingo has staked its claim, proving to be an incredibly popular alternative form of bingo. Soon, Bongo’s Bingo shall come to North Yorkshire, at a location just an hour away from York on the train.

Bongo’s Bingo sets two new dates in North Yorkshire

Bongo’s Bingo is all about adding more fun and excitement to the game of bingo. The creators have mashed together live performances, the nightclub atmosphere, and the game of bingo to create a now-infamous event that has traversed the UK.
Towards the end of November, it was announced that Bongo’s Bingo would be making its debut in North Yorkshire, at Teesside University in Middlesbrough, on 11 December 2019. It has been reported that within 30 minutes, launch tickets sold out.

Bongo’s Bingo shall be returning to Middlesbrough soon after, though, with another date booked on the university campus for 23 January 2020. With it being just a short trip from York, it isn’t surprising that people from the city have looked to make the trip north for either the December or January event. Having said that, fans will be happy to hear that Bongo’s Bingo is also set to be coming to Leeds early in 2020 – an even shorter trip from York.

It’s set to be another wildly popular event, further proving that not only can bingo adapt to new audiences – a problem previously cited for the game’s initial demise – but that the new audiences thoroughly enjoy the new ways to play.

Alternate bingo is taking over

The craze of nightclub bingo, of which Bongo’s Bingo is a part of, is continuing to grow in popularity, as are other alternative ways to enjoy the game or other forms of gaming alongside bingo. It is all combining to show that, while some people are still a bit discouraged by the regular bingo scene, there is still a love for the game and games that share its themes and simplicity.

The term ‘bingo’ is once again being associated with simple gaming that’s fun, which is why alternative events and games that sport the word ‘bingo’ are increasing in popularity. People all over the UK look to turn small stakes into massive returns on Bingo Scratchcards due to them being associated with the rejuvenated game as well as how simple the game itself is to play.

People across North Yorkshire will have played some online bingo and then looked to games like bingo scratchcards for different ways to game. It’s a very similar story with Bongo’s Bingo, with some of its audience having previously experienced live bingo now wanting to try out an alternative way to play.

Bongo’s Bingo returns to North Yorkshire in December 2019 and January 2020, delivering an unprecedented night of clubbing and bingo combined at The Hub within the Teesside University Campus in Middlesbrough.
