Christmas shopping in Yorkshire: Don’t miss out on Malton

While the Malton Christmas festival (7-8 December) may have been called off due to the winds of Storm Darragh, it doesn’t mean there’s no reason to make a day trip to ‘Yorkshire’s food capital’ over the festive period.

It’s the perfect place to find unusual Christmas presents for just about everyone and Malton’s shops are packed with Christmas gift ideas across the charming streets in this quintessential Yorkshire market town.

Many of the local businesses are opening on additional Sundays and offering late-night shopping during December, giving you a better chance to go shopping after work, and during quieter times. You could even make a day of it – shopping with friends, grabbing a bite to eat and having a catch-up over a drink or two.

There’s 2 hours free parking in Visit Malton car parks all year round and more car parking in the North Yorkshire Council run car parks too.

Head to www.visitmalton.co.uk for more information.
