York Wheels to halt key operations by the end of 2023 

York Wheels Ltd.’ has announced its “deep regret” that the Dial And Ride bus service will end after 31st December. The service provided for the elderly or disabled York residents who have no other means of travelling.

A spokesperson for the charity said, “Put simply, we have reached the point at which our fleet is not up to the standards required to maintain the quality or reliability of the service.”

A volunteer car driver scheme— where customers can book a car in advance to collect them and take them to their destination— will still continue, albeit on a limited basis.
