The work of more than 20 ceramics artists will be on display and available to buy at Southlands Methodist Church this December the 9th.
Unlike previous larger scale events, the fair will exclusively showcase the work of artists from York and the surrounding areas. Organiser Sylvia Schroer says “There’s nothing for local ceramicists so we wanted to do something to support the local pottery community in York.”
Alongside the pottery on sale at the fair, there will also be a silent auction where more unique ceramic items will be available to purchase— all proceeds from the auction will go towards the charity Refugee Action York.
Sylvia has called the event ‘Falling in Love with Clay’ and says “my hope is that it just sort of brings people together to inspire and support each each other.”
