LIBRA

23^rd SEPTEMBER – 22^nd OCTOBER

Despite the current wave of negativity sweeping across the country (and indeed the world), this should be quite a bright and exciting month for you. A lot is going on in connection with relationships and reunions, and there will be some very special social events, even if it’s only eating fish and chips on the back seat of a car.

You will be able to look back and realise just how far you have come over the last two or three years, recognising that decisions you have made, even if they have been made under pressure without much choice involved, have nevertheless been the right ones. This might not fill you with unbridled joy, but it does create a mood of quiet satisfaction.

In many ways, October is a month of new beginnings, and while this statement might have a lot to do with jobs and degrees of financial confidence, I suspect it may have more to do with families, family relationships, and affairs of the heart. Lovers will want to be mindful of the fact that we are in a period of birth and new growth.

SCORPIO

23^rd OCTOBER – 21^st NOVEMBER

A subtle but important shift in your mental attitudes as you become increasingly determined to live your life by your own rules. This broadens your horizons of possibility, and it is an exciting time for exploring fresh ideas and acquiring new targets. Anything with an “overseas” flavour has a role to play in the scheme of things, not to mention a greater element of financial flexibility. Also at this time, you’ll be considering your long term future, looking ahead to maybe 10 years down the road, and therefore some of you will be thinking about retirement and pension plans etc., while others will be just as concerned about where (physically and geographically) they’re going to end up living… and this could easily tie in with the “overseas flavour” I mentioned earlier on.

This is a “healing” period where all family relationships are concerned, and there is energy referencing new starts and fresh beginnings in romantic and sexual unions. Finances seem sound enough (relatively speaking) but it’s not a good time for either lending or borrowing; one way or another this is a process which will lead to tension and conflict. Having said that, there is some welcome reassurance if your financial security depends upon someone else buying the bread and branding the steer.

SAGITTARIUS 

22^nd NOVEMBER – 21^st DECEMBER

You will be very pleased, indeed perhaps extremely pleased, at the way certain family dynamics are falling into place. Partners are positive and co-operative on financial issues, grown-up children seem to move closer, either physically or metaphorically, and despite C-19 and the onset of winter, everything in your garden looks rosy. Can this last? Well, actually, in your case, it probably can! This does not give you licence to get cocky or overconfident, but you can relax in your bones and your spirit. Don’t worry about things over which you have no control and have a bit of faith in the cosmos.

There is good news concerning the fortunes of a family member, and although it is their fortune we’re talking about, you’re entitled to feel a degree of pride and delight in their achievements. News from a northern quarter might not be quite so uplifting, but this is one of those “out of your control” situations. Nevertheless, if you are one of those people who needs something to worry about, news from the north should sort that one out for you nicely… you old masochist, you!

CAPRICORN  

22^nd DECEMBER – 19^th JANUARY

There is no loosening of the belt tightening – not yet anyway – but by the end of the month, you’ll be feeling a bit more cheerful than you were feeling at the beginning of the month. Roughly around the 15th, you get some excellent news which will lift your mood significantly. You will regard this as a small victory but would do well to remember that it comes at the price of someone else’s sacrifice… which is the way that they might see it, even if you don’t.
Although money might be tight, something falls into place on the 11th which should give you a reason to feel a bit more cheerful. A journey of some significance will be scheduled for the 21st or 22nd, but those dates may have to be slightly modified at the last minute. By the end of the month, there are some new green shoots of confidence beginning to break through, and you can look ahead to greater financial stability and flexibility: maybe not in 2020, but certainly by mid-2021.
The C-19 situation doesn’t seem to be improving, and although you’re probably very careful and cautious, you may well be concerned that someone close to you is not.

AQUARIUS

20^th JANUARY – 18^th FEBRUARY

September’s financial optimism carries over into October, and by the end of the month, you’ll be given good reason to think that the future looks brighter than it has done for many months, and in some cases, maybe even years. Older male members of the sign will be looking at retirement options, younger females will be considering the financial advantages of marriage or cohabitation, while younger males take leaps of faith to gain their prize.
Sometime during the month, you will be presented with a new business opportunity, coming either from a long-standing friend or even a member of the family. In my opinion, this will be worth thinking about, and if you’re confident, go for it…but NOT if it involves you making any kind of financial investment or commitment. If there are risks involved in this project, make it clear that you are not prepared to take them. You provide the expertise and specialised knowledge, and they provide the money.
An increase in motor mileage throughout October probably journeys on an east-west-east axis. Oooh Goody. The M62 beckons enticingly.

PISCES

19^th FEBRUARY – 20^th MARCH

There is an astrological pattern which has recurred a dozen times over the last two or three years, which poses the same question. Do you travel forwards as the whole of a unit of one, or as half of a double unit? If this is something you have ducked away from in the past (as I suspect you have) then here it is again, and what, I wonder, are you going to do this time around? In my opinion, two is a lot more fun at half the price! Ah, but at the end of the day it is your choice, and if you are the horse that can be led to the water but cannot be forced to drink, well, I guess that’s down to you!
On more mundane levels, people in the other water sign of Cancer should be influential in your affairs, there is some involvement with red tape and officialdom between the 8th and the 15th, and throughout the third week of the month, there is some activity on the social scene with like-minded people, either individually or in groups. Associations with people of the same gender create a solid base for new friendships and alliances. Anything to do with politics and the injustice of politics will grab your attention. Do you burn your bra or ban the bomb? Do you become some sort of radical activist or just organise a few petitions of protest?

ARIES

21^st MARCH – 19^th APRIL

If I tell you to “watch your back” maybe I’m saying don’t do silly things up high ladders, but just as easily it could indicate that things are going on behind your back that you don’t know about… So be careful and be cautious in all things. There will be a falling out with a friend or colleague, but a lover or spouse will come to your rescue and provide support. I respectfully suggest you listen to what they have to say.

While this is a good time for the conduct of emotional relationships, you may need to be a bit firm and formal when declining some requests which are above and beyond the call of duty. What I’m talking about here is if someone keeps bleating on about the ceiling needing to be painted, just give ’em a brush and see what kind of a job they can do. If someone is complaining about how you do the shopping, give ’em the plastic bags and let them have a go. Avoid arguments, find some humour, but also find a way of making your point.

While you’re not likely to be worried about finances, you will be aware of the fact that you’re spending more than you should on things which you (personally) do not really need. This alerts you to the fact that fiscal expenditure needs to be monitored a bit more carefully.

TAURUS

20^th APRIL – 20^th MAY

A lot of Taureans are hurting right now. They’re hurting financially and are having to restructure their finances. They’re hurting psychologically because the negativity of C-19 is really getting to them. They’re also hurting emotionally because they are feeling extremely isolated and misunderstood. It’s October. Winter is here. Time to hibernate and hope that things are better come the spring.
Another niggle concerns modern technology. Taureans in general (in particular older members of the sign), do not get on very well with tech. If there are problems in this area (which there are likely to be on more than one occasion) it will bring out the luddite within you: there will be tantrums of frustration and ‘trouble at mill.’
On a brighter note (yes, there is one, thank God) this is an auspicious period for meeting up with and making contact with old friends you haven’t seen in years and this generates a haze of pleasant nostalgia which takes the edge of today’s frustrations. Where careers and businesses are concerned, don’t be afraid to call in a few old favours.

GEMINI

21^st MAY – 20^th JUNE

An exciting month in which an adversary or enemy will be defeated and get their comeuppance. Anything of a legal or official nature works to your advantage, and there is a financial aspect to this. Indeed, despite these weird and not-so-wonderful times, there is suddenly a new mood of optimism in connection with money, jobs, businesses and careers.
Singletons and younger members of the sign might have a problem with old flames turning like bad pennies, but this is counterbalanced by some rather lovely romantic opportunities between the 15th and 22nd. Certainly, there is a greater degree of emotional confidence in the wind by the end of the month than there was at the start.
Moneywise, well, finances are not brilliant, but there are no real threats or dangers here providing you budget carefully. Eg., you need a new car? Fine, go and buy one, but choose the Ford and not the Ferarri. A new winter coat? Okay, but a woolly duffle and not a marvellous mink. There are good money vibes towards the month’s end. If a little extra unexpected cash falls into your pocket, let it stay there for a while.

CANCER 

21^st JUNE – 22^nd JULY

Moneywise, there is more going out than there is coming in, but you seem to be well in charge of this process, and the old adage of “speculating to accumulate” comes to mind. However, you do have to be careful, going with the “head” rather than the “heart.” Some diaspora within the family seems inevitable, but I suggest that this is no bad thing, if it gets rid of distractions and gives you space to move… Space to think and space to consider future plans and options. If (and I do only say if) there have been problems in parent/child relationships, these will either be resolved or begin to be resolved by month’s end.

Looking at some of the purely astrological aspects affecting you at this time, there could be some areas of conflict involving people born in the Zodiac House of Pisces, and there may be some issues involving health which will require some attention, especially between the 21st and 28th. Do not exceed your energy levels, and if anything is worrying you, get some attention now rather than putting it off until later. Sometimes, when it comes to looking after yourself, you can be your own worst enemy.

LEO

23^rd JULY – 22^nd AUGUST

If you’re prepared to give in on small issues, this helps you to get what you want a little later on where far more significant issues are concerned. A same-sex friend or colleague will be a pain in the backside, so this might be a good time to end this particular association. Your love life is probably going to be a bit flat at this time while you concentrate on more practical matters. Therefore it will do no harm to clear the decks a bit of anything which clouds your vision or gets in your way.
It has to be said that this attitude might not go down too well with lovers and partners, which once again brings an issue to the forefront of your mind… Just how important is a relationship to you at this time? If it is important, then obviously you’re going to have to make a few sacrifices and compromises, but if it’s not, then Tally Ho and full speed ahead and damn the torpedoes. Break eggs, make omelettes etc. There doesn’t seem to be any kind of half-way house on this one.
I suppose, when I look at my notes in front of me, Leo ladies seem to be in a stronger position than the guys. Gentlemen of the sign appear to be walking on much thinner ice.

VIRGO

23^rd AUGUST – 22^nd SEPTEMBER

You maintain a cheery face and disposition, but beneath the surface, there are some frustrations and anxieties, especially in connection with finances. As such (a) you will be curtailing expenditure, and (b) looking at your long term career and business options. It is time to talk about these concerns with lovers and partners because two heads think better than one.

There are some optimistic indications where jobs and work aspects are concerned, but you can’t afford to be in too much of a rush. A very slow and well-considered approach works much better for you than an enthusiastic gung-ho cavalry charge forwards. Nor is it a good time to entirely trust your own judgement, so talk to people, friends, colleagues, workmates, bosses, partners etc., and take their opinions into consideration. There is nothing actually wrong with your own judgement, but impatience and frustration get in the way of clear vision.

New domestic routines for some, maybe new ideas about new homes in new places for others. Very cautious travel plans being discussed, and in this area, you do have to be very cautious. A fortnight in The Canaries might be just what you want, but six nights in Skegness would be a whole lot safer.
