A Christmas Tail

Every year, York’s finest Georgian townhouse, Fairfax House, is transformed for the festive season with lavish decorations and greenery. This year’s theme, ‘A Christmas Tail: The Town Mouse and The Country Mouse’ is inspired by Aesop’s famous fable, and the house will be filled with hundreds of hidden mice, each dressed in a unique, hand-stitched outfit. Perfect for families, with children aged 16 and under going free. One of York’s most atmospheric Christmas experiences.
