If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to be a Beekeeper, now is your chance to find out! RHS Garden Harlow Carr is offering a Beekeeping Taster Day, in partnership with the Harrogate and Ripon Beekeepers Association this month to give you the chance to learn about the amazing world of bees, through a variety of talks, demonstrations and practical experience from expert beekeepers.
Inclusive of theory and interactive work, this taster session is split into two main sections. The morning aims to inspire learning and awareness about topics such as basic bee anatomy and biology, health and safety aspects, and the practical nature of beekeeping. Following a break, the afternoon will give you the chance (weather permitting) to gain some hands-on experience. Equipment and suitable protective wear will be given.
