While Acomb’s Kingsway West may not be known as York’s spookiest street, it is in fact home to Lynda Starkey, a community-minded pensioner who’s been transforming her home into a famous, family-friendly Halloween attraction for over four decades.
This year, Camellia Cottage will offer a range of free attractions to local families, including Jelly Dips, Dig for Chocolate Money, and the Harry Potter-inspired Wands, Witches and Worms! Lynda’s motto is “caring is sharing and sharing is caring”, and she needs the help of Your Local Link Readers! If you’d like to donate some much-needed sweets and treats to be enjoyed on the big day, please drop off your goodies at Camellia Cottage, Kingsway West.

Lynda will be opening her home on 31st October, between 9.00am and 9.00pm – families and visitors of all ages are welcome to attend.
