This October, local families and theatregoers will be treated to an all-singing, all-dancing new production of Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, an inspirational smash-hit stage musical which follows the trials and tribulations of an aspiring teen drag queen.
This brand-new production of the musical from acclaimed local theatre company York Stage (Come From Away, The Wizard of Oz) offers a bold new take on this West End hit, and is packed with heart, humour, and a whole lot of sparkle!
Starring Leeds actor Frankie Bounds (The Witches of Pool Bottom, Boozehound) in the lead role, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie is an inspirational family musical that’s bound to warm even the coldest of hearts. With the help of his loving mother, Margaret (Joanne Theaker) and loyal best friend, Pritti (Roxanne Hall), will Jamie be able to overcome the obstacles presented by the school bully Dean (Cain Branton) and his discouraging teacher Miss Hedge (Julie-Ann Smith)? Can Jamie make his dreams of drag stardom a reality? Visit the Grand Opera House next month to find out!
Everybody’s Talking About Jamie runs at Grand Opera House York from 16-24 October, with age guidance 12+. Visit www.atgtickets.com/shows/everybodys-talking-about-jamie-presented-by-york-stage/grand-opera-house-york/ to book your tickets today.
