Last Wednesday, over 20 local businesses, along with various VIP guests, including local Drag Star, Gayle Force, magician Adrian Salamon and The Sheriff of York, Suzie Mercer gathered at Barley Hall to celebrate the launch of the York Pride 2023 Wristband Scheme. These popular wristbands are a key source of funding every year. Costing just £5 this keepsake entitles you to great discounts at a whole host of amazing retailers and attractions – discounts in collaboration with big York businesses such as, Potions Cauldron, Rainbows Ceramics, Barley Hall, City Cruises, York Chocolate Story and many more.
Commenting on the significance of the Pride wristbands, Greg Stephenson, York Pride Chair, said: “The wristband scheme has become a staple feature of York Pride and every year it continues to grow. The funds from the sale of the wristbands contribute directly to financing the York Pride main day event, therefore having lots of discounts and offers available really helps with selling them.”
