The first episode of We Are York — a brand new (and free to view) behind-the scenes documentary focusing on York’s professional rugby teams— was released to YouTube last month.
Speaking at its release, Director and Producer Craig Bingham announced that he expects the series to “look beyond the scoreboard” as he hopes to “encapsulate the essence of York”.
We Are York will be updated regularly throughout the season — as York Knights and Valkyrie both spend the next 12-months pushing for Super League glory —allowing supporters to follow their club like never before.
Craig said, “I’m more interested in what happens off the pitch than on it – the personalities behind the players, their daily grind, what makes them tick, their fears, insecurities, doubts – all of it. It will delve into the players’ livelihoods and tap into the influence rugby has on their lives.”
