As the summer 2023 season comes to a close, and the nights draw in, our clients have started thinking ahead to their winter breaks. From sandy beaches to the ski slopes, and everything in between — there’s no better way to escape the winter blues than a late year trip.
Malaga – Spain
If you’re looking for a quick weekend break, Malaga might be the perfect spot— you’ll arrive in three hours to a lovely climate that averages at over 17 degrees (even in December!). We can often overlook Malaga as nothing more than the arrival airport for the Costa Del Sol, but it’s also home to some of Spain’s most fascinating cultural spots, including the Picasso Museum! Spend a weekend sampling local dishes in a tapas restaurant and picking up a pastries at the Atarazanas Central Market.
Despite the milder temperatures, you can still enjoy a more festive feel at the Malaga Christmas lights & markets, due to take place from 25th November – 6th January.
Obergurgl – Austria
If a snowy winter setting is more what you have in mind, then why not hit the slopes in the Austrian Tyrol village of Obergurgl. At 1927 meters above sea level, you can be sure it’ll be a white Christmas! State of the art facilities like queue-free modern lifts and immaculate slope grooming, mean you’ll certainly make the most of all the snow with a seamless ski experience. When you’re ready for a break from the slopes, enjoy some Austrian wine tasting with a local experience sommelier. You can also visit the nearby 007 Elements Mountain Museum in Solden, or swap your skis for skates and enjoy ice skating. Offering 36 beginner, 56 intermediate & 20 advance runs, the resort is great for all grades of skier.
Thailand
No two trips to Thailand are the same; even if you’ve already experienced the bright lights of Bangkok, now’s your time to explore the temples of Chiang Mai or the unspoilt island of Koh Yao Noi. With a wide range of large resorts, as well as small boutique properties all offering villas with private pools— Thailand will accommodate everyone’s budget. We recommend including a stay at Elephant Hills,Thailand’s first tented luxury accommodation — you can take a jungle trek through the Khao Sok National Park, feed and interact with Asia’s largest land animal and spend your evening enjoying local dancing and cooking presentations.
Cruising
Unpack once but experience somewhere new each day. Whether you choose to sail through the Caribbean, the Canary Islands or even French Polynesia; there is a wide range of cruising available this winter. If you are a first time cruiser, finding the right cruise ship for you is key, from small ships taking just a couple of hundred guests to a larger resort-style cruiser, our role is to make sure you are aware of the offerings available so you can make an informed choice on what is right for you.
