Where to see the snowdrops this year

Celebrate the end of winter with a trip out to see these white-flowering hardy perennials in all their glory.

Beningbrough Hall

There are three types of snowdrops to see at Beningbrough – Tete a Tete, Toto and Pheasant’s Eye – you’ll spot them just beyond the walled garden.

The half and galleries are currently closed, but the gardens, restaurant, shop, play area and toilers are open on winter weekends and throughout the February half term.

Visit nationaltrust.org.uk for more information and to book.

Fountains Abbey

Snowdrops were originally planted along the banks of the River Skell at Fountains Abbey by the Earl de Grey during the 19th century. Today, his legacy continues, creating a beautiful white sea of flowers in late winter and early spring.

Burton Agnes (pictured)

Head to Burton Agnes Hall to see its whole woodland floor transformed into a beautiful white carpet throughout February. The peaceful woodland walk among the snowdrops is open from the 5th February to 6th March.
