The University of York have announced that their Level-5, in-person Chartered Management Institute (CMI) accredited coaching programme will start in March 2024.
The professional coaching programme is seen as the ideal starting place for individuals to hone their coaching skills in a supportive learning environment and for businesses to drive forward their efficiency.
Learning will be broken down into two modules. The first of these is set to begin in March, while the second will take place a month later on the 16th and 17th of April.
In March, expert staff will introduce their new students to the fundamentals — they will learn how coaching can positively impact organisational success and will develop a broader understanding on how to effectively coach a variety of people through different workplace challenges.
Then in April they will begin to put all that theory into action. They’ll engage in practice coaching sessions and identify the role supervision plays in coaching, as they discuss emerging and innovative practices.
The teaching is all informed by the latest innovations in business practice. A place on the course is something of a guarantee that attendees will be able to cultivate lasting change in their organisations.
Hearing from a few of the 2022 and 2023 cohort’s graduates helps explain the long-lasting impact the course will have.
“It was really well structured and paced. The lecturer did a great job of engaging everyone and inspiring everyone. It was a very interesting and thought provoking module and I really liked the teaching style” said Megan Stacey of Spectrum First.
While Alexander Stelfox from Cummins Inc. added, “The course is of outstanding quality and delivered to the highest standard. I have found this so valuable already and the skills learned are going to make a huge difference to my work.”
The programme is open for registrations now with the course starting on 12th March 2024. There are limited spaces available so do not hesitate in booking your place now! For more information, please email cpd@york.ac.uk
