Ravin’ Rascals hits York for an inaugural Bank Holiday rave
Were you ever a raver? Did you spend your youth ‘throwing shapes’ and spinning glow sticks in darkened rooms? It might not be 1993 anymore, but there is still a chance to let your hair down at a rave… along with your kids.
Ravin’ Rascals in the new family dance event hitting York this month with a debut Bank Holiday bash!
We know it can be tough to find activities that are fun for kids as well as grown-ups. Ravin’ Rascals is different. It’s a chance for families to dance, sing and party together.
Taking over The Crescent Club in York on the 25th of August, 2pm-4pm, Ravin’ Rascals will provide the ultimate rave experience for children and parents alike.
Fun filled
There will be a professional DJ playing old and new dance hits, a huge bubble machine, glow sticks, and children’s entertainers to get the kids (and parents) movin’ and groovin’. The stage will be set for kids and grown ups to hit the dancefloor together.
The energetic entertainers will guide your children through four party stages:
- High 5s: a fun way to say hello to your fellow ravers.
- Energise: warm-ups and stretches – get ready to rave!
- Rave Time: high-energy dancing, glow stick wavings and games (and an ice cream interval on them).
- Chill Out: bringing your kids back down to earth with guided relaxation.
When the kids aren’t busy throwing shapes, they can cover themselves in free UV tattoos, check out the face painting stall, slurp some healthy drinks or munch on tasty snacks. There’s also a fully licensed bar for the grown ups.
The standard ticket price is £8 per person (babes in arms go free). A family ticket costs £27 (for 2 adults & 2 children, or 1 adult & 3 children). This event is aimed at children under 7, but older siblings are also welcome to join in on the fun.
The music will be played at a safe level for very young ears. There will also be a separate, quieter area to sit, chill out and take some time out from the crowds.
Ravin’ Rascals, provides a safe environment for kids to let loose, dance and socialise with like-minded young ravers. And with exciting activities designed to entertain partygoers of all ages, Ravin’ Rascals offers a unique opportunity for parents and children to party together as a family.
What better way to spend a bank holiday Sunday afternoon than dancing to old school classics, waving glow sticks around, and teaching your children your best dance moves?
