York Learning are running the Autumn edition of their biannual jobs fair on the 20th of September. It’s the place to be for anyone looking to make the next step in their career, where you can build contacts with employers and learn about the range of professional courses York Learning run.
The fair will run from 10am to 2pm at the York Railway Institute and will feature over 80 local businesses.
If you’re looking for a new job, there’s no alternative to speaking directly to experienced employers. The advice they can give on which steps are most important when it comes to beefing up your CV and making yourself more employable is unrivalled.
Meeting with so many business leaders makes it likely that there may be a business you’re a perfect match for. If you pitch yourself you might even be offered an interview on the spot!
Many employers will be thinking ahead to the festive season, so look out for seasonal posts as well as longer term work.
A lot of advice is likely to relate to getting more qualifications which York Learning are experts in providing. Talk to their staff on the day to learn about eligibility for free training on one of their vital courses in Maths, English or IT — all of which are essential in the workplace.
You can also use the opportunity to find out about apprenticeships or arrange a more formal careers appointment if you need advice.
This fair will be York’s biggest and best opportunity for anyone looking to take their next professional step or to gain new qualifications.
