What is The Retreat?
We are a mental health provider, passionate about supporting people of all ages to live well. We’ve been providing mental health services for over 200 years. We offer expert therapy, assessment and support, providing tailored care which is personalised, effective and evidence-based.
What services does The Retreat offer?
If you are worried about a child or young person’s mental health or wellbeing, The Retreat at Charles Court can help. We provide a range of services for children and young people ages 2-17 years and their families or carers. We can help with:
•Autism Assessments
•Sensory Integration Assessments
•Anxiety
•Depression or low mood
•Traumatic experiences
•Relationship difficulties
•Bereavement
•Eating difficulties
•Confidence or self-esteem issues
•Stress
•Panic attacks
•Sleeping difficulties
• Any issue related to wellbeing
The Retreat also provides mental health and neurodevelopmental services for adults (18+) from our sites on Heslington Road York, Manchester and through our online offering.
Who will I see?
Our diagnostic assessment and therapy services for children and young people are delivered by a highly skilled multidisciplinary team of clinicians including child psychotherapists, clinical psychologists, speech and language therapists and paediatric occupational therapists. All of our therapists are highly trained, accredited and experienced and use techniques such as, talking therapy, play therapy, drama therapy, art therapy and
music therapy.
What do services cost?
Details of fees can be found on our website, including our initial assessment and therapy session costs. We’re a not-for-profit organisation and proud to work with the NHS to deliver some of our services. We would love to hear from you to discuss your needs.
How can I access services?
Appointments can be offered either face to face at any of The Retreat’s premises, or remotely via video consultation.
