York Unlocked 2025

York Unlocked is pleased to confirm that its much-loved Open Weekend will return this
autumn, taking place on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th September 2025. The 2025 programme will once again unlock the doors to some of York’s most remarkable, significant and rarely accessible buildings – all free of charge.

The two-day event, organised and run by dedicated volunteers, celebrates York’s
extraordinary architectural and cultural heritage. The event offers residents and visitors the opportunity to explore around 50 buildings and outdoor spaces, many of which are normally closed to the public.
