Sam, an ambitious student teacher, arrives at the Redhill Youth Custody Secure Unit with the hope of enriching the lives of its residents by introducing them to the world of philosophy. Though the wary class is initially resistant to this alien, ancient art of thinking, they eventually begin to thaw as they find themselves challenged and empowered in ways they have never experienced before.
