Hofesh Shechter’s exhilarating new full-length work for Shechter II, IN THE BRAIN, is a raw and electrifying exploration of movement, rhythm, and collective energy. It plunges deep into the subconscious—where narrative dissolves, identity blurs, and only the pulse remains.

Driven by the fierce, unrelenting force of Shechter II, this is a space to break free: to lose yourself, to surrender to the surge of movement, the throb of bass, and the euphoria of bodies locked into Shechter’s unmistakable groove.

Part rave, part ritual, IN THE BRAIN transcends performance. The dancers don’t simply perform—they unleash. With visceral intensity, they dissolve the boundary between stage and audience, drawing you into a charged, immersive experience that lingers long after the final beat.

Evolving from CAVE—a shorter work created with Martha Graham Company and Studio Simkin—this new production expands its exploration of nightlife, human connection, and the transcendental power of dance. Here, the theatre is transformed into a high-voltage arena of sound, movement, and raw expression.
