Description
On Good Friday, Christians remember the crucifixion of Jesus. Throughout the day, York Minster will be given over to prayer and worship. All are welcome — whether to join the services, spend time in quiet reflection, or simply experience the space.
Good Friday Family Service – 10.00am
A service for all ages, reflecting on the events of Good Friday and exploring themes of hope in the face of loss.
The Liturgy of Good Friday – 1.30pm
The formal liturgy begins with the singing of the Passion, followed by prayers of intercession and the veneration of the cross, marking this solemn day in the Christian calendar.
