What do the stars have in store for you?
You enter the New Year on a calm and even footing, knowing that this is going to be a pivotal mile stone year in the span of your life. As such, January brings a fresh breeze of self-confidence, which allows you to practice the gentle arts of patience and generosity. Other folk will appreciate this, especially partners who have had their own way over Xmas.
There are a number of key periods in 2020, not least of which is the spring and early summer. Late April, May and June sees you arriving at a destination that you have been aiming towards for quite a number of years. For some this might mean the start of a new career, for others we might be talking about weddings and starting a family, but for older members of the sign we could just as easily be talking about retirement or early retirement, when you can stop doing what you’ve got to do and start doing what you want to do!
Major changes to domestic routines are likely throughout the summer and there could even be some moves made towards a change of address before the end of the year. This might be a contentious issue if one person wants to move and the other doesn’t, but there are definitely options here to be explored.
Finances are generally sound, but expenditure needs to be monitored, and if necessary, modified and moderated, especially in the late summer and autumn. There is a strong travel energy throughout the year, from early June onwards.
The New Year brings new challenges, but you’ll be up for them with a vengeance. Targets and goals are clearly defined, and you’ll be gratified by the degree of co-operation you get from those closest to you. January sees you coasting along at your own speed, not in any kind of hurry, but counting the days to key dates on the calendar of the year ahead.
The April and May period will bring new business opportunities and also business successes, leaving you free to embrace new ventures during the summer. Travel aspects around your birthday look probable, but a word of advice here – cut the cloth to the depth of your pocket! On matters of health, not too many problems (if indeed any at all) but older people may need to acknowledge the fact that they’re 73 and not 17 or 27, or even 47! Again, cut the cloth to the length of your levels of energy.
At least, there is no shortage of enthusiasm for 2020 and along with this energy there is the determination to find a bit more money to make the impossible possible. Major financial investments in the mid-summer will be interesting, but can only be made after juggling with the profit and loss books. Having said that, the purchase of an occasional lottery ticket could be very advantageous… Don’t spend a fortune, because just a couple of quid a month might be enough to open the door!
Positive mental attitudes win the day and New Year Resolutions, especially those connected with family, should be stuck to like glue. Lots of love and support from partners and spouses, but maybe some curious looks from children and in-laws. Perhaps, a little unexpectedly, some significant boost to your social life, especially from the 11th of January onwards. Overall 2020 will be a year for making new friendships and alliances, and for dumping a few which are well beyond their sell-by date.
March and September are key months for any kind of career advancement, and if we’re talking about any kind of test or exam results, there are a lot of green lights flashing here. Financially it would seem to be quite a secure year, but with the greater gains made from July onwards. Major financial investments look like being made, either in the spring or the autumn. New fridges, new cars, even new homes are all possibilities.
Older members of the sign, perhaps those with a few health issues, can look forward to making a lot of progress in the months ahead. Wounds are healed and threats are neutralised… Providing you don’t take up bungey jumping or deep sea diving!
Children (and in some cases Grandchildren) may be the cause of some concern, and my advice here is for you to back off and let things sort themselves out in their own way and in their own time, without too much direct involvement from yourself. Distance and objectivity are great gifts!
As far as January is concerned, you’re likely to be busy and preoccupied by a host of different issues, but there is an underlying theme which highlights emotional relationships – where they are and where they might be going. If you come under pressure around the 15th to get a few things off your chest, I suggest yo respond to it by being open with your feelings and clearing the air.
The broad sweep of 2020 looks a little ambiguous, and depending upon your age, agendas will be dominated by family matters and emotional relationships. Career minded Crabs will probably find that the months of April and August are the most advantageous, but there will be times when domestic issues become a major distraction. One thinks here of March and June and July, and again with greater emphasis, late October and early November.
A disproportionately high number of Cancerians will be looking at the property market, and if there are going to be any moves towards a change of address, April and August again snap into focus as being the two key periods when such decisions may be made.
In one form or another, national and international politics will affect your thinking and many of your decisions, especially if you have links, business or personal, with the EU.
Not exactly a moody start to the New Year, but certainly a reflective one as you reassess a number of ongoing situations which are not entirely to your liking. This may be time when you need to make some firm decisions about your future, particularly in all affairs of the heart, while at the same time being very open with friends and family about your plans.
February and March are bright and hopeful months, but something starts souring the cream during the broad thrust of April and early May when you realise that if you want what you want, you’re going to have to give something first… and “first” is the key word here! This is an “across the board” energy, but it is highly relevant to emotional situations.
Leos are Lions and they are somewhat prone to letting their pride get in the way of their common sense. This is something you must guard against at all times. Any kind of obstinacy or intransigence on your part will be met head on and challenged, and putting it bluntly, if you fight you lose, if you give ground (maybe quite a lot of ground) you win!
Financially it is an up and down year: avoid spending on luxuries and keep your financial reserves in check to pay for the necessities. Where money is concerned, the bird in the hand is worth a helluva lot more than the bird in the bush. And yet, there is a contradictory paradox here, insofar as if you want a brighter future you must walk away from some of the dark clouds which shroud your history.
If January seems to be a little slow and uneventful, make the most of it, because as the year unfolds you’re going to be mega busy juggling all kinds of different balls at the same time. Much will be expected of you, and you’ll be hard pressed to please everybody. Some sticky business choices between the 16th and 22nd of January need care and attention.
Once into February and March the pace and tempo of life pick up quite considerably. There are new business ventures to be explored in March and the spring of the year looks like being an exceptionally busy and productive period for you. This energy is enhanced if you are self-employed or are the boss of your own business.
Travel aspects filter into your diary during May and June, and for what it’s worth, there are also some major overseas links surrounding you during September. 2020 looks like being quite a steady year financially – not the best year you’ve ever had, but by no means the worst. The old adage of speculating to accumulate seems to be very relevant, especially in the autumn and early winter.
Relationships and partnerships seem solid enough, although (dare I say it?) sometimes a bit boring and predictable. Therefore anything you can do to revitalise this department of your life has got to be seen as an important step in the right direction. For singletons to find romance, they must first concentrate on building firm friendships – then one thing will lead to another.
A bright January buzz in affairs of the heart makes you very optimistic about 2020, but be careful with your commitments and don’t try to run before you can walk. Those looking for new jobs or promotions should be very pleased indeed with events falling into place around the 7th and 8th and again on the 24th 25th and 26th.
This propels you into February and March with a new sense of zeal and determination to succeed, and if you’re looking to impress people, this should be as easy as falling off a log. One thing though… please don’t complain if a lot more responsibility is dumped upon your shoulders, and if your working day gets a bit longer, well, you’re not going to be bored!
May and June is a lovely time for lovers and couples, and as sure as God makes green apples, there’ll be engagement parties for some and wedding bells for others. If you are feeling a bit alone and lonely on May 1st I don’t think that this will be the case by July 1st – and if I’m wrong, give me a ring on July 2nd and I’ll buy you a pint or a gin and tonic!
Where finances are concerned, 2020 looks like it could be quite an expensive year, with a bit more going out than there is coming in. On a positive note, you’ll see where the money is going, and should be well satisfied with your transactions.
A very bright and breezy start to the New Year in which you’ll be working hard to make up for lost time. Self-confidence is quite high, especially when a cash boost (or the promise of one) lifts your spirits around the 20th – 25th. Romantic aspects quite intense, especially for younger members of the sign under 25.
This romantic intensity gathers momentum throughout the late winter and early spring and reaches out to touch all members of the sign in a variety of different ways. Even those in their most senior years will benefit from this renaissance of activity in affairs of the heart, and this could most certainly be the year when platonic friendships transmute into being something a lot more vibrant and exciting.
Career aspects are well starred in the spring, flat-line a bit throughout the summer, then benefit from a re-ignition of energy around late September and October. Finances follow the same pattern, and as such the summer months may be a time when you need to practice a little frugality. Travel outlook is good for June and July… you don’t have to restrict yourself to a caravan in Skegness but maybe this is NOT the year in which to book a world cruise!
One of the most important, but also very subtle factors of 2020 is your gentle growth in levels of self-esteem and self-confidence: you begin to see yourself in a different and more positive light and you will not be disappointed by this process.
As January unfolds you’ll find yourself in something of a “cautious” mood and will be waiting to see what other people do before you make any big decisions. Long established partnerships are routinely predictable, but there is some intensity and excitement where new relationships are concerned. Quite a lot of work pressure from the 14th/15th onwards. And this energy gathers momentum as you move out of January and cruise through February and March.
I would guess that there could be some important changes to work routines and career directions during late April and/or May, which seem to be very much to your advantage. A journey of significance on a south-easterly tangent looks probable in June, (could just be a summer holiday!) and although only embryonic at this stage, there could be some thoughts appertaining to a change of address.
Regardless of anything and everything which might be happening in your life at this time, there is a deep but subtle feeling within which makes you feel restless and not a 100% happy with your lot. Yes, compared with many other people, you may be safe and secure, but there is an inner mood which demands some excitement and adventure – even if there is an element of danger involved. However old you are, whether you’re 30, 50 or even 80, there is this feeling of life slipping by and passing you by. An inner voice tells you that you must do something about this, but it’s hard to figure out exactly what that might be. There may be an answer or part of an answer in London or some other major city in the south of England.
You’ll probably spend the better part of January coming to terms with new work routines and systems, and all should be well if you stay calm and focused. There is some very good advice forthcoming from more than one source, but the voice which says “have a Plan B” must not be ignored!
Concomitant with the above, it also seems inevitable that there will be some changes to domestic routines at this time – and here some extra care may need to be taken not to tread on anyone’s toes and give a very loud shout of “ouch” if someone treads on yours. Nevertheless, this is a bright and opportunistic period for emotional relationships, and those new “domestic routines” can work very well and to everyone’s advantage, given a little time and the application of common sense.
Financially there are some clearly defined benefits to this New Year, some of them quite obvious, others less so. When you do the arithmetic at the year’s end you’ll realise that you’re better off, maybe to the tune of 20 or 30 quid a month, than you were last year. You are not spending less but you are saving more!
A little bit of care needs to be taken concerning health aspects. There is no real threat here, but sleep patterns leave something to be desired, and you can’t be on top of your game if you get overtired. This kind of problem needs a very proactive response, so if you need to take a sleeping pill, take the flaming thing, then maybe we’ll all get some rest!
For the majority of Aquarians January looks like being a fairly ordinary month… unless you happen to be female and under 25, in which case this could be an extra-ordinary month, for better or worse! All Aquarians will be doing a bit of soul searching and navel gazing, some demanding change, others being profoundly suspicious of it. I suppose it all depends on how happy you are with the status quo, but in my own opinion, a change is as good as a rest – especially for Aquarians!
From a financial point of view, 2020 might be a stable year, but it’s hardly likely to be exciting. Older members of the sign may be looking at pension pots and retirement plans, while younger people may be more concerned with investments and profits gained by selling on things which have become a bit obsolete and redundant in their lives.
As I intimated in the first paragraph, young single females seem to enter the year in a flurry of romantic and sexual excitement, but for everyone else it’s probably a case of “same old, same old” which might sound a bit boring, but at least there is a modicum of stability and security here. Which is fine for those who want to keep things that way… There is, however, a small minority who won’t!
January should be quite a tranquil few weeks; decisions are deferred to a later time, arguments are avoided by your refusal to argue, and there’s a lovely feeling of “I’m in charge and I’m in control”. Others might accuse you of being intransigent or stubborn, but at the end of the day, that’s their problem, not yours, and you should stick to your guns in all things… at least until the springtime buds grace the trees.
I say that, because with the advent of April, there is a subtle change of heart going on in some areas, and you will find that you are not quite as sure of yourself as you were at the beginning of the year. Thus, the springtime is a period in which you may choose to alter some of your opinions, review some of your decisions, and back track to where you were at the end of 2019. This opens the door to what could be a lovely summer (doesn’t matter if it pours with rain throughout June, July and August) during which in some subtle, even spiritual ways, you make contact with the person you were before becoming the person you have become. Certainly the summer is a period during which there is some re-awakening of old emotions, and even though this could be just a little bit scary, it’s also going to be very exciting!
Astrologers are often accused of being ambiguously vague, so I shall be direct and erudite. Someone will be making it clear that you are the one that they want, and you can have all that they have to offer. The snag is that they are going to want something in return, and it’s no good offering them a muffin when what they want is crumpet.
