Charitable trust, The North Yorkshire Moors Railway (NYMR) carries 300,000 passengers annually. It is the most well-known heritage railway in Britain and one of the top tourist destinations in the North East.
As part of its Kids Go Free offering for the 2023 season, the North Yorkshire Moors Railway will also host a variety of free activities during the May half term from 27th May to 4th June at its Pickering and Goathland stations, including crafting drop-in sessions and a signaller experience.
Additionally, the NYMR is now a validated learning destination for the Children’s University, a charity that works in partnership with schools to encourage a love of learning in children, by celebrating participation in extra-curricular activities. So, kids can now claim two hours of learning activities each time they visit!
Take the family on a ride and make the most of your NYMR visit with special rates, and if you have children under the age of 15, they can travel for free! For £45, visitors can purchase a 12-month Unlimited Annual Pass and visit as many times as they want, on standard timetables only. Day returns between two stations are also available with a fixed fare for shorter journeys.
