All the world’s a stage

Dramatherapy is a type of treatment that gives patients who suffer from poor mental health access to different ways of expressing themselves. This special type of therapy uses the creative arts, including music and art to process challenging situations, express feelings, and overcome physical and psychological barriers.

As of the 1st of June, local charity, York Mind is offering Dramatherapy group sessions for young people. Hosted by a Trainee Dramatherapist in accordance with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the British Association of Dramatherapists (BADth) guidelines, the workshop will take place over the course of ten weeks.

Although this current programme is now closed to referrals, be sure to keep an eye on the York Mind website for future or similar opportunities and workshops.
