Architectural historian Christopher Webster explores Watson’s career and the impressive collection of buildings he created across Yorkshire, County Durham and Lincolnshire. His work ranged from grand country houses and churches to chapels and courthouses, while his Lunatic Asylum in Wakefield was considered a building of national significance.

After Watson’s work spent decades largely overlooked, Christopher’s forthcoming book aims to bring renewed attention to his importance as a provincial architect.
