Written by Martha Godber and directed by Millie Gaston, this powerful production from The John Godber Company follows Jesse, a 25-year-old carer from Hull, navigating a demanding job on minimum wage while trying to hold together her own chaotic life.
Told over the course of one night, the story moves from care shifts to dancefloors, late-night kebabs to early morning call-outs, capturing the reality of a system that undervalues carers and the pressures faced by young working-class women today. Blending humour with hard-hitting themes, it offers a raw and relatable portrayal of modern Britain.
A post-show discussion will take place on Wednesday 13 May following the 7.45pm performance.
