Women's Market

Drop in to discover handmade soaps, tote bags, cushions and more, created by women from Murang’a and the Masai Mara in Kenya. The pop-up is run by Mbele, a non-profit organisation supporting women’s economic independence through creative projects in Kenya and Uganda.

In partnership with Destiny Gates Foundation, Mbele works with women’s groups to produce beautiful African-print items now sold in Spain and York. 100% of proceeds go directly back to the women involved.

Visitors are welcome to browse at any time, with 20-minute talks on Mbele’s work at 11.00am and 4.00pm.
