There’s nothing we love more at Your Local Link than sharing what our team have been out enjoying in York and Nicola’s recent visit is a lovely one to celebrate

*“I took Pippa to the Barbican to see The Nutcracker by Imperial Classical Ballet.
This was Pippa’s first time going to see the Ballet and she was not disappointed, nor was I.
The performance was captivating, the dancers were precise and elegant.
Each step, leap and turn showcased the discipline, dedication and passion that lie at the heart of this captivating art form.
The Nutcracker is such a special performance to go and see for any little girl, this is what made me fall in Love with Ballet over 30 years ago and what made it that bit more special this time, was being able share this with my own little ballerina, who after seeing this performance was so excited for her first little show early next year.”*
Although this performance has now finished, there’s exciting news for ballet and classical music lovers, the Ukrainian Opera & Ballet Theatre is returning to York in February 2026!
We’ll be sharing more details soon, but if Nicola’s magical evening is anything to go by, it’s definitely one to mark in your calendars.
