Announcing Tried and Trusted – a business directory made by our readers

At YLL we’re a community — our advertisers, readers, contributors and staff are all part of the same extended family. The only way we make that community such a warm and dynamic place is by listening to the opinions of everyone and giving a voice to every single stakeholder.

For long enough our readers haven’t been able to fully reap the benefits of the community, they’ve not had enough of a voice. That’s what our new “Tried and Trusted” series is all about — we’ll feature your words, your testimonial and the pictures you capture in our magazine and across all the aspects of Your Local Link Media, both in print and online. If one of our advertisers did such a good job, or completed such a satisfactory service that you wanted to leave a review, or you recommended it to a friend — we’re desperate to hear about it. It doesn’t matter what kind of job that is, be it a great building job, a top bit of landscaping or an exceptional service from one of our solicitors, we just want to support local.

In any business, no matter the size nor scale, there is no greater marker of a success than reputation — how services are reviewed online or recommended by word of mouth. While we go as far as we can to vet our advertisers, nothing compares to stories of first-hand experience. Rather than replacing the age-old system of reputation-based recommendations, we want to enhance it, and amplify those recommendations. Through “Tried and Trusted” the opinions of happy clients —our readers—will reach as many people as possible. We’re all about supporting local — giving a voice to local people and giving the great local businesses who advertise with us the platform to receive the appreciation they deserve.

If you want to shout out some brilliant work done by one of our local advertisers, send an email across to info@yourlocallink.co.uk and leave a review!

Tried and Tested Garden company – Native Gardens – are truly tried and tested and are a very small company who responded very quickly to my email for help to tidy up my garden! Many other companies advertising in The Local Link completely ignored my email requests for help with my garden! Native Garden replied almost immediately, were doing the job in under a week later and did an amazing job!

The ONLY downside is as they are a small company, their payment methods is either by cash or bank transfer. If people are happy with that, then they are definitely the company to go for!
