Agatha Christie classic is coming to York

Renowned director Lucy Bailey has adapted Agatha Christie’s iconic And Then There Were None to suit modern audiences, bringing the latest version of the fourth best-selling story of all-time to the Grand Opera House this Autumn.

Bailey is already accustomed to adapting the work of Britain’s seminal crime writer, so successfully taking Witness for the Prosecution to the stage that it is now running for its sixth straight year. Now Bailey is bringing Christie’s greatest work to life with a star-studded cast including Bob Barrett from Holby City as Doctor Armstrong, Joseph Beattie from Silent Witness as Philip Lombard and Sophie Walter from The Girl On The Train as Vera Claythorne as well as many many more from the best of UK theatre, film and tv.

This production has reinvented the classic story to fit a twenty-first century setting, making the mystery as captivating to modern audiences as it was to Christie’s readers 83 years ago.

Ten strangers are lured to a solitary mansion off the coast of Devon. When a terrible storm cuts them off from the mainland, and with their hosts mysteriously absent, the true reason for their presence on the island becomes horribly clear, as secrets from their past come back to haunt each and every one of them.

The show will be in York from Tuesday the 21st until Saturday the 25th of November and tickets start from £13.
